The grand prize has rolled over 31 times and hasn’t been won since April 18. The latest draw, on Friday August 4, didn’t bring the $1.35 billion jackpot to anyone. Nevertheless, there were over 5 million winners in this draw and if you entered the game, you should check your tickets to see if you are one of them.

The winning numbers were 11, 30, 45, 52, 56, with the Mega Ball being 20. Seven lucky players managed to match five numbers without the Mega Ball and each took home $1 million. Those tickets were bought in Louisiana, Nebraska, Missouri, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. Two other winners, who bought tickets from Michigan and Tennessee, matched 5 numbers with the Megaplier and won $2 million each.

Are You the Next Billionaire?

The largest prize ever in the history of Mega Millions was won on October 23, 2018 and it was worth $1.537 billion. The player from South Carolina didn’t claim it until March 2019 and decided to remain anonymous. They went for the cash option of $877.7 million.

However, this is not the largest lottery jackpot ever paid out. That happened in November 2022, when Edwin Castro from California won $2.04 billion on Powerball and took the lump sum payout worth $997.6 million.

While we don’t know for how long the Mega Millions jackpot will keep on rolling, we do know there’s a chance that it could surpass the Powerball one, especially if more players take part.

The biggest Mega Millions jackpot could be yours, so make sure you enter the next draw which happens on Tuesday. After the draw takes place, you can go check your tickets and see if you can start making plans with the money you won or you’ll enter the following draw.
