What is Mega Millions KY?

Mega Millions KY is a multi-jurisdictional, multi million dollar lottery game available to play in the state of Kentucky.

The Mega Millions jackpot starts at $40 million and increases after each successive drawing (rollover) if the jackpot isn't won.

Mega Millions drawings take place on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11pm ET / 10pm CT.

Who operates Mega Millions KY

Mega Millions KY is run by The Kentucky Lottery and ran its first draw in January 2010. It became the second multi-jurisdictional draw available to play in the state, having previously launched KY Powerball nearly 20 years earlier.

The Kentucky Lottery was established in 1988 after 60% of Kentuckians voted in favor of introducing a state lottery.

Its stated mission is to use its lottery revenues to fund education services such as college scholarships and grant programs for residents of Kentucky.

Since 1999 it has provided $4.4 Billion in educational funding to Kentuckians.
