Mega Millions Smartpicks are numbers that have been calculated using hot and cold numbers from the 20 most recent draws. The hot numbers are those that have appeared most frequently, while the cold numbers are the ones that have been seen the least. You can see those statistics further down the page, for the main numbers and the Mega Balls.

To create the Smart picks, our formula takes three hot numbers and two cold numbers at random to get the main balls, plus one of the most common Mega Balls. This gives you the top six numbers statistically from recent draws.
