Two Mega Millions Jackpot Winners

The winning Mega Millions numbers for Friday, October 14, were 9, 22, 26, 41 and 44, with a Mega Ball of 19. The Megaplier was 2x and there were 1,054,198 prizes won altogether. Go to the Mega Millions Payouts page to see a full breakdown chart.

Two players succeeded in matching all of the numbers, netting each lucky ticket holder a share of the gigantic jackpot.

The grand prize had climbed to $494 million following a run of 21 drawings without a winner, with a surge of late ticket sales pushing it up from $445 million on Tuesday.

It was revealed after the draw that the winning tickets were sold in Florida and California. The Florida winner purchased their ticket in Fort Myers and now has 180 days to come forward and claim their prize.

The California Lottery announced that its winner had purchased their ticket from a 7-Eleven in San Jose. The California winner has twice as long, one year, in which to stake their claim.

Florida and California are two of the biggest state lotteries, but they have very different records when it comes to Mega Millions. California has created 36 winners, while Florida has had just three.

Powerball on the Rise

The Powerball jackpot for Saturday night was marginally lower at $464 million, having built up since the last win on August 3rd.

Two players, one from Ohio and the other from Texas, came close to pocketing the grand prize as they matched all five main balls. However, they missed out on the Powerball and had to be content with $1 million each.

The Powerball numbers for Saturday, October 15, were 32, 37, 40, 58 and 62, with a Powerball of 15. The Power Play was 5x, multiplying payouts by 5 for thousands of players across the U.S. Go to the Payouts page for full details, including the Double Play results.

It is now the second-highest Powerball jackpot of the year. The only bigger prize to have been seen on the game in 2022 came all the way back on January 5, when ticket holders from California and Wisconsin split $632 million.

Powerball-MegaMIllions.com is dedicated to keeping you to date with the latest from both lotteries, plus Lotto America, which is currently up to a record $26.8 million.
