The winning ticket was purchased at Holiday Stationstores on Xkimo Street in Ramsey, and matched all six numbers in the Tuesday, April 12 draw - the white balls 2, 8, 14, 20 and 31, plus the gold Mega Ball, 17.

The $110 million jackpot was originally projected to be $106 million but increased based on high ticket sales. The top prize has a cash value of $66.9 million if the winner opts for the lump sum payment.

The jackpot was last won on March 8, when a New York ticket enjoyed a $128 million prize. The first of 2022's three wins so far was a California ticket that hit a $426 million payout on January 28.

Can the Winner Stay Anonymous?

Yes, the winner can remain anonymous in Minnesota, due to a law that took effect on September 1, 2021. The law keeps the names and cities of lottery players who win more than $10,000 private.

Winners are still required to submit this information to the lottery as part of their claim, but it is kept as private data and not released to the public. The only information released is the amount won, game played, and the retailer name and city where the ticket was sold.

The only way the winner's information can become public is if a winner waives their right to remain anonymous.

Winners Nationwide

In addition to the jackpot winner, there were numerous big winners across the USA in Tuesday's draw.

Four players became millionaires last night by matching all five white balls to score the game's $1 million Match 5 second prize. Two of the tickets were sold in New Jersey, and one each in Florida and Maryland.

One of the New Jersey winners added the Megaplier when they purchased the ticket. The $1 option multiplies any prize below the jackpot by a randomly-selected number. Last night's Megaplier was 2X, so the ticket is worth twice as much - $2 million!

Fourteen tickets won the game's $10,000 third prize when they matched four white balls plus the Mega ball. Six of those added Megaplier and are worth $20,000.

Prizes in This Jackpot Run

Tuesday's draw produced 408,487 prizes on all tiers. During this jackpot run, there have been more than 3.6 million winning tickets, including 10 that won $1 million or more. Michigan and New Jersey each had two Match 5 $1 million winners, while Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Washington State each had one winner.
