Winning Mega Millions Numbers

The winning numbers for June 4 were 19, 37, 40, 63 and 69, with a Mega Ball of 17. The Megaplier was 3X, tripling the value of prizes for all non-jackpot winners.

After a long run of drawings without a jackpot winner - stretching back to March 26 - one ticket finally matched all five main numbers and the Mega Ball.

Another 944,852 payouts were given away across all the other prize categories. Check out the Payouts page to see all the draw details.

15th Win For Illinois

Illinois has now been the scene of 15 Mega Millions jackpot wins, making it the seventh most successful participating state. Some of the biggest jackpots have also gone to the Land of Lincoln, including a $1.337 billion win in July 2022.

The latest winner has one year from the draw date to claim their prize, and they can then decide whether to take the jackpot as an annuity or accept the cash option of $260.2 million.

Unlike in many other states, winners of major prizes in Illinois are allowed to stay anonymous, so it is possible that no more information will be released about the lucky ticket holder’s identity.

Online Benefits

The Illinois player purchased their ticket online, so there should be no issues with claiming the prize. When you play over the internet, you are automatically notified by email if you win a prize. In most cases the money is transferred directly to your account. With a jackpot win, clear instructions are sent over how to proceed with the claims process.

This is one of the major advantages of playing online, as you don’t need to worry about keeping your ticket safe or checking the results yourself. Paper tickets can sometimes get lost or damaged, but that can’t happen online.

You can also play online from the comfort of your own home or without having to go to a store and stand in line.

While many state lotteries do not currently sell tickets online, it is becoming increasingly common. You can also order tickets online in some states from courier services which help to make playing so much easier.

The Mega Millions jackpot will now drop to $20 million, with draws continuing every Tuesday and Friday. The Powerball jackpot, meanwhile, is currently worth $185 million.
